A treat for your cookie tray for Christmas
Hungarian Kieffles
Ingredients:
- 1 lb flour
- 1 lb cream cheese
- 1 lb butter
- 1 jar leckvar (prune butter)
Directions:
Mix flour, butter and cream cheese. If necessary, add more flour until dough no longer sticks to your hands.
Roll dough on a floured board with a floured rolling pin.
Cut dough into lengths and then into squares (2 x 2 inches).
Place 1/2 teaspoon of leckvar in center and roll dough from corner to corner and shape into half moon.
Bake at 350 degrees until dough is golden brown.
Remove and cool.
Sprinkle powered sugar on top before serving.
